WhY Care?

The United Nations Report states that "around 1 million animal and plant species are now threatened with extinction, many within decades, more than ever before in human history.

Biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people are our common heritage and humanity’s most important life-supporting ‘safety net’. But our safety net is stretched almost to breaking point.  Ecosystems, species, wild populations, local varieties and breeds of domesticated plants and animals are shrinking, deteriorating or vanishing. The essential, interconnected web of life on Earth is getting smaller and increasingly frayed.

Although we still have the means to ensure a sustainable future for people and the planet."

We can make a difference
TOGETHER
in the places we live and love.

Why We Keep Going.png

From "Planting in a Post-Wild World" by Thomas Rainer & Claudia West:

"The ecological warriors of the future won't just be scientists and engineers, but gardeners, horticulturalists, land managers, landscape architects, transportation department staff, elementary school teachers, and community association board members.

This book is dedicated to anyone who can influence a small patch of land."

We are too.

We help renters and landowners,
rural, suburban and urban dwellers,
gardeners, landscapers and businesses
- any human -
who wants to build habitat for wildlife,
support pollination and reconnect with Nature.

or you can create it in your backyard.”
